Terms of Service

Last updated: 22 April 2025

Most terms of service are written for lawyers, by lawyers, to protect the company from its users. We have tried to write ours so a normal person can actually understand them. They are still legally binding. If anything below is unclear, email us and we will explain — and probably rewrite the clause.

Contact us: hello@snugs.io

1. What you are agreeing to

By using Snugs, you agree to these terms.

Snugs is operated by ArtCollection.io LLC. When you create an account or use the service, you are entering into an agreement with us on the terms set out below. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the service.

2. Your account

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login details safe.

You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your password secure. If you believe someone has accessed your account without permission, email us immediately at hello@snugs.io.

You must be at least 16 years old to use Snugs. If you are under 18, you confirm you have the consent of a parent or guardian.

3. What you can do

Use the service in good faith to participate in communities.

You may create groups, join groups, post content, chat, create events, and use any other features available to you. You agree to use these features honestly and in good faith.

4. What you must not do

Do not use Snugs to harm people, break the law, or wreck the service.

You agree not to:

  • Post content that is illegal, abusive, threatening, or harassing.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
  • Upload malware or attempt to compromise the security of the service.
  • Scrape, crawl, or collect data from Snugs by automated means without our written permission.
  • Use the service to send spam or bulk unsolicited messages.
  • Circumvent any access controls, rate limits, or security measures.

Group admins may set additional rules for their groups. You agree to follow the rules of any group you participate in.

5. Your content

You own what you post. You give us permission to display it on the platform.

You retain ownership of everything you post on Snugs. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, display, and distribute that content within the service — meaning we can show your posts to other group members, include them in search results within Snugs, and deliver them via notifications.

This licence exists solely so we can operate the service. We will not sell your content, use it for advertising, or share it outside the platform without your permission. If you delete your content, we will remove it from our active systems. Backups may retain copies for a limited period for disaster recovery.

6. Group admins

Admins run their groups. We provide the tools.

Group admins are responsible for their groups. They set the rules, manage membership, and moderate content within their groups. We provide tools to help them do this but do not routinely review or moderate content in individual groups.

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms, regardless of admin decisions. In practice, we will always try to work with admins first.

7. Payments

If you pay for a plan, here is how billing works.

Some features of Snugs require a paid plan. Prices are displayed before you subscribe. Paid plans renew automatically unless you cancel before the next billing date. You can cancel at any time from your account settings.

We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If we change our prices, we will give you at least 30 days notice and you can cancel before the new price takes effect.

8. Availability

We aim for high uptime but cannot guarantee it.

We do our best to keep Snugs available and reliable. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may need to take the service offline for maintenance, and things sometimes break. We will always communicate planned downtime in advance where possible.

9. Termination

You can leave at any time. We can remove you if you break these terms.

You can delete your account at any time. We will remove your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Where possible, we will give you notice and an opportunity to export your data before termination. In cases of serious abuse, we may act immediately.

10. Liability

We stand behind the service, but we cannot be liable for everything.

Snugs is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, ArtCollection.io LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability to you for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $100, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.

11. Changes to these terms

We will tell you if we change them. Material changes get 30 days notice.

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will notify you by email or by a notice within the service at least 30 days before the change takes effect. If you continue using Snugs after the change, you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service will be resolved in the courts of Delaware, unless we agree otherwise.
